Creative Arts Workshop – Putting the Realism in Surrealism with Abby Short

Local artist & USC art student Abby Short will lead participants through the creation of surreal small gouache paintings, while keeping in touch with their ephemeral feelings and daily sensations. Participants will learn how to brainstorm different ideas and pounce on creating one before the inspiration runs dry. Abby will guide you in having confidence to think abstractly and create with an unrepressed eye to make some truly strange, cool work. Leave the class with a small painting that encapsulates how you feel in a surreal style! No experience necessary; all materials provided.
